The ability of a human to see artwork in the context of their uniquely personal past experiences, worldviews, and life experiences gives the viewer and the artwork – the ability to become one – providing a personalized and exclusive perception of a piece of art.
Abstract art offers a departure from representational art, which typically depicts recognizable objects or scenes from the real world. Abstract art emphasizes color, form, and texture over recognizable subject matter, allowing viewers to focus on the purely visual and emotional aspects of the artwork. This can provide a new way of experiencing art to encourage deeper thinking, engagement, and mental connection on a visceral level.
Abstract art allows for a greater degree of interpretation and personal meaning. This abstract collection is created to feel deeply personal, highly original, and meaningful to viewers, engaging them to connect with the artwork on a deep level.
WHAT 'IS' ABSTRACT ART?; Abstract art emphasizes color, form, and texture over recognizable object art subject matter, allowing viewers to focus on the purely visual and experiential aspects of the artwork. This provides a way of experiencing art to encourage deep thinking, engagement, and mental connection on a visceral level, without the constraints of known logic and form-based neural processing.
WHAT IS 'UNIQUE' ABOUT MY ABSTRACT ART?; My art is created to be experienced. My purpose is not to create a picture of an experience, but to create the experience itself. Through my 30+ years of corporate design and my years as an artist, I have developed a keen understanding of what the human brain prefers in design and style, something that is able to manifest itself onto my canvas's through my creative thinking and my techniques, honed over many years. I typically use many, many layers, and multiple contrasting colors to create a combination of thought-provoking engagement and meaningful intrinsic design. Additionally, much of my art is big, so is able to create a real impact, a statement, and a larger-than-life personality to add to a room.
HOW MY ABSTRACT ART WILL ENHANCE YOUR HOME... AND YOUR LIFE; My art is created to give energy and life to your home. It is also built to help you live your best creative life. I believe that color can manifest harmony, healing and dreams. The universe is energy at different frequencies. Love is the highest. Each color also has a different frequency, that can manifest your highest dreams and goals, incorporating the high-frequency colors of the universe and of our chakras. My art incorporates colors that will build a foundation of the uplifting energy of love and vibrancy to your home.
MEDIUM:
Archival-quality, Level 3 professional quality, gallery wrapped, 100% natural cotton, heavy/medium duty, gesso primed canvas. 100% cotton, with acid-free white acrylic gesso, wrapped around all sides, and secured in place on the backside of the 1 ½ inch kiln-dried wooden stretcher bar frame held in place with a flexible spline to create a tight stretch. I typically use Liquitex Level 3 Professional Grade sustainable acrylic paints, These are thick, high viscosity, pigment-rich professional acrylic colors, with a high concentration of lightfast artist-quality pigment with a satin finish to give a no-fade permanent color. Liquitex products are certified with the Art and Creative Materials Institute, Inc. Liquitex as a company has pushed a net reduction in total CO2 emissions, and aims to be fully carbon neutral by 2030.
ORIGINAL WORK: My original artwork is one-of-a-kind. My pieces are developed to be collector originals, using high-quality, light-fast Liquitex pigments and sustainable materials that will look good for 50-100+ years in gallery conditions and in no/low direct sunlight conditions. Liquitex paints are mostly all ASTM I or II and are considered permanent and lightfast.

My reproductions have several grades of quality, but can include museum-quality reproductions durable enough to last for over 100 years. The reproduction process includes UltraChrome HD inks for a wide, rich color gamut range ensuring that the print matches the exact color fidelity of the original piece of artwork. I always do my best to ensure the best materials and reproduction methods to ensure that the reproductions look and feel great, and are true to the original.

INSPIRATION:
This artwork was inspired by travel, my first-ever visit to Athens Greece, where as a young man I was gobsmacked by the 3,000+ years of history and storytelling of aged layers of the walls of the ancient houses and buildings around the Parthenon and Acropolis. I have never forgotten touching the stone, limestone and tufa, aged over millennia from the sun and elements, that told a story of people and place. I remember putting my fingers into the 2,000-year-old carved graffiti of Greek soldiers at the base of the Parthenon, and the ability to connect with them thousands of years later. This large-scale abstract piece is an evocative ode to earth and humanity.

I AM LOVE. This piece was inspired by LOVE. I wanted to push Love into this canvas, to inspire others to feel love in their home or apartment or place of work. It is created for people who are experiencing love and for those who need to experience more LOVE. I believe LOVE is when humans are at their very best, and I believe that having creative things around you, such as art blessed with LOVE, can manifest LOVE. I also believe there are colors that have unique frequencies that can create LOVE. This painting is created using those colors. The universe is energy at different frequencies. Love is the highest. Each color also has a different frequency, that will manifest our highest dreams and goals, incorporating the high-frequency colors of the universe and of our chakras. The colors of this painting incorporate LOVE frequency colors to build a foundation of the energy of love for those you love, and for your home.

Ancient people, the human spirit, Earth's natural tones and colors that are commonly found in nature, including in the earth's landscape, flora, and fauna. These tones are often muted, soft, and understated, reflecting the organic and natural essence of the world around us. I varied my typical bright primary colors to use these earth colors to create a sense of harmony and balance with this art for your space or home. They evoke a sense of the natural world and its calming influence on our senses.

INSPIRATION:
I love dogs. We got a new puppy, a 4 month old Shih Tzu, which means little lion. I was fascinated by the cuteness, and amount of fur as she ran around our back yard and at the beach. What I tried to capture here is the essence of a happy small dog....the curiosity, the energy, the busyness running form place to place, and the pure love. I hope this painting finds its way to a dog-lovers home. Dogs are amazing, they are loyal companions who provide unconditional love and companionship. They are known for their ability to sense and respond to human emotions, and having a dog in your house has been shown to have numerous positive effects on human well-being, including reducing stress and loneliness.
