Art commissions are a great way to buy original art that is developed for your personal style and space. A commission is the act of requesting the creation of a piece, sometimes on behalf of someone else. Custom artwork is an artistic creation of aesthetic value that working in collaboration with an artist such as myself, you get a beautiful piece of art that you cherish because of its personal meaning.

I will create a piece of meaningful art for you that will greatly enhance your home, place of work, or other location. Your commission art piece will help you better live with a sense of vitality, purpose, and connection within your environment and connect to the beauty of the world around you. We will collaborate together to develop a painting that speaks to you, that creates an emotion or a connection to something. Your statement piece will light up and enhance the room, or add to a gallery wall.

Your art commission is a one-off, unique only to you. My artwork will be a great conversation starter when you have guests over. An Iconic Faces portrait of someone you admire (a portrait of an admired rockstar, celebrity, famous person, wife/husband/child/parent, etc); a Social Impact or environmental painting to inspire you (ocean, whales, landscape, endangered species, etc); a Famous Fantasy artwork (a famous person in a juxtaposed place or outfit, etc); Connected to Water ( a loved one painted swimming in a pool or ocean, etc.); Impact Abstract (large-scale abstract art designed and created specifically for your home or office); or Be Love Art, (designed to create energy, to heal, and to inspire and bring LOVE into your home).

We will collaborate on pieces that are thought-provoking or have an interesting backstory to spark conversation. My specialty is 'Impact Art,' vibrant art created with the intention of eliciting emotion and awe in the viewer. My art is typically large-scale for impact, but I can create a piece that fits the needs of your space. But if you are looking to create a sense of tranquility or calm in an area or space, we can create choose one or more pieces with soothing colors or peaceful imagery to create a sense of tranquility in your home.

HOW IT WORKS:

Contact me. We will arrange a time to speak, to collaborate together, and to discuss your needs. We can do a one-on-one live video chat on YouTube, WhatsApp, Apple Facetime, Google Meet (Android), Facebook Messenger, Skype, Zoom, or other...so you can show me your space or you can send me photos of the area where you plan to hang your art. After this call, I will give you a pricing cost, shipping details, and proposed timeline. If you decide to move forward on your bespoke art piece, I will get a deposit from you, then send you some digital concepts. We will collaborate on what you want, and after agreement, depending on size and scope, I will create your special piece, send you regular updates and when finished, you will pay me in full, and I will ship your beautiful new art piece to your home. TIMELINE:

It typically takes 2-6 weeks to complete the artwork, depending on the complexity and time it takes to complete a specific piece, plus shipping time. I put a lot of work into each piece, design, multiple layers, details, etc. Abstract style art can be a little quicker, while highly detailed work takes longer. The larger the size, the more time it takes (but the end result is very extraordinary). Large pieces of art require significantly more paint. If the art piece is an unusual shape, I will need to build or order a custom canvas, which can additionally take a few days.

I will work closely with you on this project, and will send you regular photos and text updates to keep you in the know.

You should think of this personalized art commission piece as an investment in you.

Each commission piece is different,... different sizes, different amounts of materials and paint, different amounts of detail and time taken. This piece is a one-off, unique to you, and your family. After we speak and I am clear of what you are looking for, I can make recommendations on styles and costs. I have sold my original commission pieces from $1,500 to $23,000+. The skill and time it has taken me to develop my art to the level it is today is considerable over many years, so although I try to provide value to all my clients, I need to charge a fair price to cover my costs and enable me to make a reasonable profit to continue to pursue my art as a professional career.

SHIPPING (NORTH AMERICA & INTERNATIONAL):

Shipping costs vary. Your art piece will be professionally packed to ensure it arrives to you in good condition to hang on your wall. Ground shipping such as UPS, USPS, or FEDEX are most cost-effective, and typically take 1-2 weeks for delivery, but smaller art pieces I can airfreight which you will likely receive in 2-5 days. You will cover the cost of shipping. If you live in Southern California I can sometimes deliver personally. If you live internationally, I can ship by sea or air, but it can sometimes take a little longer.

What can I commission?

You can commission any kind of art you want. Typically my art is 'Impact Art,' which means it is designed to make an impact, to create a visceral experience, and to be the centerpiece in any room. It is my hope that my art reflects your personality, your values and your style. We will work together to ensure your new art fits your personal goals for your space and to enhance your life. I work in many different styles and themes, as you will see from this website. What size art should I choose?

We will work on this and decide together. You will likely have a space in mind that the art piece should fit. Much of my art is large, but I can create your piece any size you want. If you have high ceilings, of 8' or higher, larger art will look great. Much of my commissioned art is 6' x 6'; 5' x 5'; 5' x 4'; 4' x 5'; 4' x 3'; 5' x 3'; 3' x 2'; 4' x 2'. I have completed pieces as big as 12' x 12' and a few as small as 2' x 2'.
Can I have a custom size?

Yes. I may need to build or purchase a custom canvas, but any size is possible.
How do I determine colors?

My art is designed to be bold, but I also create art in muted colors of the earth. If there is a specific color and style you like I can likely create it. We will discuss your goals for the art and I can make some recommendations suitable for your environment and your life goals. I believe color can create energy, can heal us, and can enhance our lives. Each color has a specific vibrational frequency. The universe is energy at different frequencies. Love is the highest. Color at a subatomic level is just a wave frequency traveling through space. Each color has a different frequency, that will help manifest your highest dreams and goals, incorporating the high-frequency colors of the universe and of our chakras. Color can have a significant impact on our emotions, mood, and overall well-being, and different colors have different frequencies that can affect us in various ways. The colors of my art (especially form my Be Love Series), incorporate the colors of the frequencies most likely to nurture LOVE, passion, energy, healing and positive associations, to help you build a foundation of the right energy for your home and to help you live more creatively. It is my greatest hope that my art in your home will enhance and help you live a better life. Energy, healing and LOVE are my goals, while I apply the principles of color and design to my art to achieve this.
How do I pay?

I take 50% of the agreed on fee as a down payment to commence the art work. The balance plus shipping and insurance is due on completion, prior to shipping. I take most forms of payment. All credit cards, personal or business checks, and most forms of online payments including Google Pay, Venmo, Zelle, etc. I cannot ship your art until the payment has cleared my bank.
Can I return a commission piece?

Unfortunately I do not accept returns of commissioned artworks, as it is personalized and created for a specific person and space.
What if I have a rush deadline?

In 'some' cases I can achieve a rush deadline. It depends on several factors including size, subject matter, style, detail, shipping, and more. If you have a rush need, we can discuss, Great art, like food, cannot be rushed, and results will be better with enough time. Shipping is a factor that is hard to speed up, and I have very little control over.
How is the art shipped?

I try hard to make the shipping part as easy as possible for my clients, but there are many intricacies to get shipping right. There are the costs associated, as different size paintings will cost different amounts, and different destinations will vary for shipping costs. The artwork needs to be professionally packed, so that it is in perfect condition when it arrives at your home. I purchase insurance for shipping the art piece in the same amount as you have paid, to ensure you are not out of pocket for any damage sustained during shipping, which is uncommon. I try to keep the shipping costs down as much as possible, for USA and North American sales, so use several shippers including USPS, UPS, FEDEX, with ground transportation to deliver to your door. For international sales, I can work with any major shipper, for either air or ocean shipping. We can discuss best options for you.
Can I organize my own shipping?

Yes. I will work with you to help you ship your own art work.

I saw Peter's art and just had to have one as the centerpiece in my home. We collaborated together, but I truly fell in love with his 'Connected to Water" collection as a truly iconic and highly engaging art piece that I believe will be as relevant in 30 years, as it is now.

He delivered the art to my house, and it immediately changed the entire vibe of the room with energy and excitement. I absolutely love this painting, and I feel joy and pleasure whenever I walk into the room. It is a true statement piece that reflects my upbringing and a sense of freedom through hours of swimming in my youth with friends. Even more gratifying is the reaction the painting receives every time a guest enters our home through the front door. The piece greets friends and family alike with a sense of joy, and nearly to a person, they comment on the work immediately. We hear all the time “What a fabulous piece! Who painted that? How do I get one?” It makes for a magnificent welcome and often the conversations about the magic of the artwork continue into the night as people re-engage with the piece over the course of the evening. It is that special.

ARTIST COMMENTS:

I truly wanted to give Christine a gift she would greatly value, that would have the impact and style she needed for this room. After we decided on the general subject matter, I hired a model, did some underwater high-speed, high-resolution photography, and from that shoot, chose this specific snapshot in time. I then painted this large format painting over several weeks, creating multiple layers, and adjusting the colors, light, composition and design to reflect a special moment that we can all recognize form our youth. Painting water is very challenging to get the bubbles and light reflections just right for the viewer's eye, and takes a lot of time and constant adjustment to get it right. This painting turned out very well, and I am delighted that Christine gets so much joy from my work.

MEDIUM:

Acrylic paint applied over Gesso-primed canvas stretched to large-scale wooden frame. Heavy body, lightfast, water-resistant, professional artist-grade Liquitex acrylic paint. Some are diluted with water, or modified with acrylic gels, mediums, or pastes.

SIZE:

6 feet x 6 feet.

INSPIRATION:

From an artistic perspective, light and the ocean are a source of endless inspiration and beauty. The interplay of light and water in a swimming pool is a captivating subject for creative expression, and is often a deep reflection of childhood memories or iconic and beautiful life-moments. The crystal-clear water reflects the light, creating a mesmerizing effect that changes with the angle and intensity of the light source. Swirling patterns of light and shadow dance throughout the water's presence, while the cascade of bubbles creates a sense of movement and energy across the canvas. This creates a hypnotic and highly engaging visual experience. The contrast between the energy of the water and the refractive vibrancy of the light through the bubbles creates a dynamic and intriguing atmosphere, along with the large scale of the painting that invites the viewer directly into the moment.

I just fell in love with this painting the second I saw it. Peter has a large collection of work for sale, and as we flipped through multiple pieces, this jumped out. I see two things in this art. (1) I literally feel love when I look at it. I cannot explain this, but I am consumed with peace and love whenever I look at this art. (2) Everyone says they feel energy and positive uplift in the room where this art hangs. Clearly it was not there before, but it is definitely there now!

Peter is not only a gifted and extremely talented artist, he is a very cool guy. His art is electric and varied, but he also runs a charity for the poorest people in the world. Ali is a special person and I am so grateful to have this piece hanging in her home. While I was painting this piece, I tried to infuse the canvas and paint with thoughts of LOVE and uplifting thoughts. I chose the colors from the most uplifting areas of the spectrum, to ensure that this art delivered LOVE into her home.

The aura and center of spiritual connection leading to enlightenment. the violet color of this energy painting has the highest energy frequency of all colors and shortest wavelength of all colors at 963 Hz. Orange has a low frequency of 417 Hz more connected to the physical realm than the spiritual.

Red (Root Chakra)

The Red color provides an earthy, grounding energy along with enthusiastic action. It is responsible for our feelings of safety, stability, and security, and is the closest chakra to the physical realm energetically. The red color of the root chakra is the densest hue in the chakra color system, with the longest wavelength and lowest frequency of 396 Hz.
