Famous Fantasy Series.

SERIES INSPIRATION;  People want an association with famous. They also want to feel whimsy and lightness, with a sense of positive social interaction. I have always followed people who serve others and who use their unique talents to lift others up and to make the world a better place. I look towards positive role models,... and in a world of off-the-charts multi-tasking, anxiety and overload, I believe a combination of celebrity with whimsy offers the viewer a brief pause form the daily grind....to improve mood, reduce stress, and increase overall well-being. My Famous Fantasy art is inspired by the need to spark imagination, to give you something exciting in your home that makes a big statement, that changes a room to be interesting and significant,...and to help you to live more creatively.

ABOUT THE SERIES; My Famous Fantasy Collection is inspired deeply from my heart. I spend considerable time thinking about people and fantasy scenarios, and I have a wellspring of ideas every day, and a list of over 300 famous people and celebrities, both historical and current, I plan to paint over the coming years.  This Collection is painted from my creative mind. I see it as big and bold, a huge conversation piece, with powerful colors, bold brush strokes, and a looseness of form, while maintaining strong elements of appealing human-centered design and fantasy that are interesting to the eye. This abstract collection is created to feel deeply personal, highly original, and meaningful to viewers, engaging them to connect with the artwork on a deep level.

WHAT 'IS' FAMOUS FANTASY ART?; It is art that percolates inside my mind, iconic people and fantasy scenarios. It is designed to make you think, to take a double-take, and to make the viewer smile and feel uplifted. Each piece is carefully designed to emphasize bold color, unique subject matter, and large scale engagement...a complement to a wall space.  I want people to experience my art on a visceral level, to encourage deep thinking, engagement, and mental connection, with sheer delight.

WHAT IS 'UNIQUE' ABOUT MY FAMOUS FANTASY ART?; This Collection is highly unique. There is very little art like this anywhere. It is created to be experienced, not just a painting of an experience, but to create the experience itself. Through my 30+ years of corporate design and my years as an artist, I have developed a keen understanding of what the human brain prefers in design and style, something that is able to manifest itself onto my canvas through my creative thinking and my techniques, honed over many years. The ideas for these art pieces come after many, many hours of thinking and concepting the ideas of combining an iconic person whom I believe has contributed to humanity - with a fantasy scenario that somehow fits their persona. I then develop the design concept with pencil drawings, and sometimes Adobe Photoshop where I build a color creative concept. These art pieces are big, so take many hours, typically over 100 hours to complete. I typically use many, many layers, and multiple contrasting colors to create a combination of thought-provoking engagement and meaningful intrinsic design. This collection is large scale to create a real impact, a statement, and a larger-than-life personality to add to your room.

This Collection will give you an exciting, engaging and vibrant art piece, and is built to help you live your best creative life. I believe that color can manifest harmony, healing and dreams. The universe is energy at different frequencies. Love is the highest. Each color also has a different frequency, that can manifest your highest dreams and goals, incorporating the high-frequency colors of the universe and of our chakras. My art incorporates colors that will build a foundation of the uplifting energy of love and vibrancy to your home.

MEDIUM:

Archival-quality, Level 3 professional quality, gallery wrapped, 100% natural cotton, heavy/medium duty, gesso primed canvas.  100% cotton, with acid-free white acrylic gesso, wrapped around all sides, and secured in place on the backside of the 1 ½ inch kiln-dried wooden stretcher bar frame held in place with a flexible spline to create a tight stretch.  I typically use Liquitex Level 3 Professional Grade sustainable acrylic paints, These are thick, high viscosity, pigment-rich professional acrylic colors, with a high concentration of lightfast artist-quality pigment with a satin finish to give a no-fade permanent color. Liquitex products are certified with the Art and Creative Materials Institute, Inc. Liquitex as a company has pushed a net reduction in total CO2 emissions, and aims to be fully carbon neutral by 2030.

ORIGINAL WORK: My original artwork is one-of-a-kind. My pieces are developed to be collector originals, using high-quality, light-fast Liquitex pigments and sustainable materials that will look good for 50-100+ years in gallery conditions and in no/low direct sunlight conditions. Liquitex paints are mostly all ASTM I or II and are considered permanent and lightfast.

My reproductions have several grades of quality, but can include museum-quality reproductions durable enough to last for over 100 years. The reproduction process includes UltraChrome HD inks for a wide, rich color gamut range ensuring that the print matches the exact color fidelity of the original piece of artwork. I always do my best to ensure the best materials and reproduction methods to ensure that the reproductions look and feel great, and are true to the original.
